I’m not really sure what to say tonight. Work has been getting a bit better (thankfully), but I still feel really fatigued and drained. I keep waiting for ‘the change’. It’ll come eventually, and along the way I just need to keep working at taking care of myself – something I struggle to do.
Tonight, in order to take care of myself, I had tea and scones with Anthony. My mum dropped over this amazing lime butter (made by her) the other day, and in my mind it always goes best with scones. So last night I quickly whipped some up. I like to make the lemonade and cream type, because they’re super quick and light and fluffy. So tasty!
I also made this fun craft.
It’s a moustache card!
Tonight I crafted an umbrella card.
I’m not really sure what to say about it, except that I like it and it rather suits my day because it has been very rainy in Sydney!
What do you like to do on rainy days?
Quick post before I head to bed.
I had a good day at work, but I’ve been in a terrible mood all night. I think I just need some sleep!
Anyhow, here is the craft.
I rather like this one 🙂
Quick post because tonight I am all over the place emotionally. My heart just wasn’t in it, and there were lots of tears as I attempted to complete this very simple craft. Many thanks and love to Anthony who encouraged me to keep going and physically helped me start by getting me off the couch.
Tonight I made another chick card.
It’s a little flawed, but cute nonetheless 😉
Tomorrow’s entry will hopefully include pictures from my fun high tea adventure with my sister and nieces (ages 4 and 6).
Hope you have an enjoyable weekend ahead of you!
Today I made an Easter Chick card.
Just you wait till tomorrow’s craft! It’s a cutie!
Tonight I was meant to make another felt ornament.
But I didn’t feel like doing that.
So I made a felt lady bug card instead 🙂
Who would you give this card to?
Tonight I made another lion card.
This one uses the clever and interactive idea of putting the lion on a toothpick – so you can take it off the card and use it for something else. Maybe stick the lion in a cake?
On another and completely un-related note, Anthony and I bought a fresh coconut.
I love coconut.
And for months I was dreaming about eating it because I was playing a lot of ‘fruit ninja’… I’m easily influenced by advertising or anything visual (if that helps to explain the connection in my mind).
Anthony cracked it open using the pestle of our ‘mortar and pestle’.
And we sat and watched Survivor while eating coconut.
It tasted delicious!
What did you do tonight?
